Future Finds

Things worth finding.

Most things aren't worth your attention. This is a small, slow archive of the ones that are — chosen carefully, explained honestly, kept only if they earn it.

About Maruri

I grew up in a London flat where nothing was accidental. My father is Japanese — he taught me that owning less means choosing better. My mother is Thai — she taught me that beautiful things should feel like an invitation, not a test. Between the two of them, I never stood a chance of becoming a casual shopper.

I studied design here in London, and I work as a product designer now — which mostly means I spend my days asking why things are made the way they are, and whether they should be.

I started posting because I was tired of hollow recommendations. Products pushed by people who had clearly never used them, didn't care, and just needed the cheque. So this is the opposite of that. Everything here is something I'd buy with my own money — and honestly, most of it I already have.

I won't post often, and I won't post everything. Just the things that earn it.

02 — The Finds

A slow archive of good things

01 Morning

Ceremonial-Grade Matcha

Three months caffeine-free, and this is the reason I don't miss it. Calm energy, no crash, and it tastes like a decision you made on purpose.

02 Home

NEOM Wellbeing Pod

People always ask what my flat smells like. It's one thing. It's this — quietly running in the corner, doing more for the room than most of the furniture.

03 Desk

Lamy Safari Fountain Pen

Proof that writing things down can feel like a small occasion. Forty years of design that never needed updating — which tells you everything.

04 Home

NEOM Happiness Candle

Travel-size, which sounded like a compromise until I actually used it. Neroli and mimosa, lit for ten minutes — and the whole room resets.

05 Carry

KALIDI Foldable Tote

Folds flat in a drawer until you actually need it — then somehow fits everything. Waterproof, zipped, no drama. I've stopped thinking about it, which is the whole point.
